Out of Town Pictorial

It's my very first out of town pictorial which is way out of my comfort zone. But I was comfortable doing the shoot because the people I worked with were close to my heart. I visited my best friend Louella, her baby and Dan her husband in Omaha. I was trying to prepare my stuff to do the photo shoot earlier but along the way I was having a pictorial with another friend. I will let you know about it in another post.

Anyway, since distance is an issue in doing my shoot. I am also a light traveler. I only brought a tripod, camera bag and all it's accessories. In there the flash with the garyfong dom, light meter, filter, battery, charger, sd, reflector and of course my camera. Aside from that I had my small luggage. Carrying the camera case was heavy. I got problems with my shoulder until now. Hopefully it will get better soon.Traveling alone was hard especially if you have equipments to tag along.

About the pictorial, I took the photos inside Kasie's room. The walls are pink. Window was on the left and light coming through silhouette of a curtain created two different lights. The room was small and doing the shoot was hard. I only used primes for pictorial because that's my preference. So, I had no space to work around the lens.

Louella, Jane and I were making our best to get the best we can get from that scenario. It was a little hard to really work on small spaces. I am glad I had the experience at home where I had the same problem so it was not new to me.

As for Kasie's pictorial, I wish there's more drama about it. Since I only used what I have. I came up with the idea to shot pictures in a simple manner. Back to basic photography where I've learned from my teacher in  class last year. That stick to my head. With limited equipment, I used my creativity in getting good composition. I achieved better pictures with her even just having her laying on the couch at the comfort of their living room. I only have the camera on one hand and other hand was the speed light flash. Indeed, I made it possible. The pictures turned out great. I also did capture her and  her mother Wella.
